Did you know that synastry overlays are one of the first things to look at after drawing a synastry chart?

It is especially critical to look at hard aspect between Moon, Venus, Mars and Saturn and Pluto. Challenging aspects with Saturn will give the individual an inborn inability to express love and would suggest a certain level of maturity before they can get married and create a family.
Difficult aspects with Pluto would suggest deep psychological trauma, an inherent tendency to manipulate and in the case of a Pluto-Mars square even a tendency for violence or attracting aggressive partners.

The Sun’s position in the natal chart – by sign, house and aspects creates the fundamental basis of our character, on which all other influences from the other planets are superimposed. For this reason, when we compare the birth charts of two people, we first pay attention to the relative position of their Suns. Although the streams of influence between two people flow through different energy channels, connecting different points of their horoscopes, the Sun with its representation of the ego is one of the principal channels of interaction that needs to be examined.
In synastry analysis, when we do an overlay of two birth horoscopes, your partner’s Sun falls in one of the twelve houses of your horoscope. In each of these twelve positions, it sets a certain color for your relationship and shows an area of your life where the other will have a strong influence.

The most important thing to remember about having someone’s Sun in your first house in Synastry is that it acts as a permanent transit to your first house!
This means that for as long as you are in this particular relationship, for as long as you communicate and exchange energies with this person, their Sun will be like a permanent transit in your first house.
Their Sun, with all it represents will be affecting your own moods, your appearance, and even your health! If you have planets in your first house, their Sun will be further activating these planets, and the aspects they are making.
1st House in Synastry
Firstly, when someone’s planets fall in our 1st house, we can say that a person has a noticeable impact on our life, it is difficult for us to leave them unattended, because we are strongly drawn to them. This person seems to be a part of us. In him or her, we see ourselves.
Furthermore, with our presence we awaken in a person the qualities and spheres of “activity” of the planet belonging to him. In the worst case, you will feel the pressure of your partner, his criticism towards you, in some cases it may seem that he is using, asserting himself at the expense of you.

Sun in the 1st house synastry means that your partner was born in the zodiac sign in which your Ascendant is placed or in the adjacent one in the direction of the signs. First house in the horoscope is the most personal, house of the Ego also showing the main potential in your current life.
When the Sun of the other illuminates it, it creates a strong emotional attraction in the initial stage of the relationship.
Your partner is fascinated by you, admires you and sees only your good sides, exaggerating and beautifying them. The duration of this initial and wonderful period lasts differently, depending on the zodiac sign of the house person’s Sun. If it is in Virgo, sobriety occurs faster than if, for example, in the zodiac sign Pisces.

Since the natural ruler of the 1st house is Aries, in this situation, both individuals will strive to improve each other until they become practically similar in their views and positions.
This state of affairs, taking into account the desire of everyone to play an equally important role, should very obviously lead to their close cooperation on the basis of competition. At the same time, both individuals, without much infringement on their pride, are ready to hide their egoism away if their cooperation is obviously highly effective.

I act for him in the guise of a daring and disobedient slave, who has an incomprehensible power over him, but whom he, nevertheless, must ‘train’, and bring to an acceptable form.

When the Sun is not badly afflicted and the cross-aspects with the other planets in the synastry chart are favorable, the Sun person generally likes the house person.
